Motion or Lindy: work suite with AI or an AI assistant on its own?
Motion is a project, calendar and docs suite with AI credits and a newer 'AI Employees' tier. Lindy is a standalone AI assistant per user for email, meetings, CRM and research. The deciding question is whether you want AI inside a work-management tool you also adopt, or an assistant that plugs into the tools you already use.

Pick Motion if…
- You want one app for tasks, calendar and docs and the AI is a bonus on top.
- You want the lowest seat price. Team Pro AI is $19 a seat a month on an annual plan.
- Your team is in the US or does not need EU hosting.
Pick Lindy if…
- You do not want to switch project tools. Lindy works on top of Gmail, Slack, your calendar and CRM.
- You want an assistant that does deeper work such as research and reporting, not scheduling.
- You want agents you can configure yourself rather than a fixed set inside a suite.
Where each one falls short
Motion
- Motion says plainly that EU-only storage is not possible. Data sits in Iowa.
- Reviewers report feature bloat since the 'AI super app' pivot and a weak mobile app (about 2.7/5 on G2 versus 4.5 on desktop). Heavy AI users pay above the sticker price in credit overages.
Lindy
- Cost is the top G2 complaint. Credits do not roll over, and a failing loop can burn thousands before anyone notices.
- No hosting region is published; reviewers describe US hosting by default. Trustpilot rating is low (1.7/5), mostly billing and support.
Motion or Lindy: the verdict
Motion wins for a small team that wants a work suite with AI at $19 to $29 a seat and does not need EU hosting. Lindy wins for a team that keeps its tools and wants an assistant that does real tasks, at a higher per-user price. Neither is EU-hosted on paper; Motion says so outright.
SokosumiIf you want the work done, not another app to adopt
Both tools above give a person a place to plan or an assistant to set up. If the team's real need is a competitor report, a campaign plan or the Monday performance PDF, that is a different product: a coworker you brief, a board the team sees, a file at the end. Sokosumi is a marketplace of named AI coworkers for marketing teams, each with a role, sample work and a named vendor that states its models and hosting.

Motion vs Lindy: questions
What is Motion's AI Employees tier?+
A newer tier for agents that run whole workflows inside Motion. It was not shown on the pricing page when we checked; third-party reviews cite about $49 a month on annual billing with around 10,000 credits. Verify with Motion.
Does Motion store data in the EU?+
No. Motion's security page says data is stored in Google's us-central1 region in Iowa and that EU-only storage cannot be requested.
How do Lindy credits work?+
Credits measure work done and only burn when Lindy is working. Everyday tasks cost 2 to 250 credits, deep work 250 to 1,000, big builds 1,000 to 2,500. Plus includes 3,000 per user per month; credits reset monthly.
Is there a finished-work option for marketing teams?+
Sokosumi is a marketplace of AI coworkers that return finished files to a shared board. Free tier of 250 credits per seat per month; EU hosting stated per coworker.
