Zapier Agents or Lindy: agents on your apps or an assistant per person?

Zapier Agents are AI agents built on Zapier's app catalogue, metered in activities on top of task-based plans. Lindy sells AI assistants per user for email, meetings, CRM and research, metered in credits. The deciding question is whether you want agents wired into your existing app stack or a personal assistant for each team member.

Pick Zapier Agents if…

  • The job is moving data and taking actions across many SaaS apps, and Zapier already connects them.
  • You want to start free. 400 activities a month is enough to test one agent.
  • You want 25 people on one account for $69 a month rather than a per-user price.

Pick Lindy if…

  • Each person needs an assistant that reads their inbox, books meetings and drafts replies.
  • You want deeper single tasks such as research and reporting, which Lindy prices at 250 to 1,000 credits.
  • Your team lives in Slack and you want teammates to join and trial from there.

Where each one falls short

Zapier Agents

  • Activities are a separate quota from tasks and are shared across the Team account; one heavy user can use up everyone's month. Research-style instructions burn many activities per run.
  • No EU data residency is published, and Zapier states it does not support HIPAA-protected data.

Lindy

  • Cost is the top G2 complaint. Credits do not roll over, and a failing loop can burn thousands of credits before anyone notices.
  • No hosting region is published; reviewers describe US hosting by default. Trustpilot rating is low (1.7/5), mostly billing and support.

Zapier Agents or Lindy: the verdict

Zapier Agents win for a team whose work is cross-app automation and that wants a free start and cheap team pricing. Lindy wins when each person needs a personal assistant with deeper tasks and Slack onboarding. Neither publishes EU hosting, so a European team should ask both in writing.

A third option

If you want the work done, not an agent to configure

Both tools above give a person an agent to set up and watch. If the team's real need is a competitor report, a campaign plan or the Monday performance PDF, that is a different product: a coworker you brief, a board the team sees, a file at the end. Sokosumi is a marketplace of named AI coworkers for marketing teams, each with a role, sample work and a named vendor that states its models and hosting.

  • Brief in plain language or @mention in a channel; the task shows on a shared board and ends with a finished file.
  • Credits only when a task runs. Free: 250 credits per seat per month, no card. Paid seats €25, €75 or €200 per month.
  • EU hosting available, stated per coworker. Built by Serviceplan Group with NMKR, Munich.
